Production Operative – Manufacturing Role

About the role
This is a varied, fast‑paced production operative position with a well‑established manufacturing firm in Hexham. You will work on the shop floor, ensuring products meet quality standards while supporting daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Attend daily briefings with the team leader or supervisor.
- Carry out general manufacturing duties across production departments.
- Perform quality inspections on all products and record any defects.
- Handle manual tasks such as picking, labeling and packing items.
- Follow basic production plans and prioritize workloads.
- Maintain a clean, efficient work environment.
Required profile
- Experience in a fast‑moving production environment.
- Strong focus on quality and ability to meet high standards.
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Consistent, accurate and diligent in following procedures.
- Physically fit for handling heavy products.
