Production Operative – Plastic Extrusion (Bridgwater)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Operative to support the manufacture of high‑specification aerospace components in a clean, modern facility on the outskirts of Bridgwater. The role is day‑shift, Monday‑Friday, 08:00‑16:30 with an early finish at 13:00 on Fridays.

Key responsibilities

• Operate extrusion machinery to produce plastic tubes.
• Load and handle raw plastic powders and other materials.
• Monitor ovens and heating processes, ensuring correct temperature and settings.
• Carry out quality checks on finished products.
• Follow strict health and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a production or machine‑operating environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable working with powders and high‑temperature equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and adapt to changing priorities.
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
