Production Operative – Steel Cutting (4‑day week)

About the role
This permanent position is based in Kingsbridge and offers a stable four‑day working week (Monday‑Thursday). You will operate high‑end steel cutting machinery to produce bespoke playground equipment, reading drawings and collaborating with the production team to meet quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and run industrial steel cutting machines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings for custom orders.
- Ensure finished products meet elite quality requirements.
- Work closely with other production teams to maintain workflow.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and support overtime or weekend shifts when required.
Required profile
- Experience as a Production Operative or similar role working with steel.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Reliability and willingness to work a four‑day week.
Required skills
- Industrial steel cutting machinery operation.
- Technical drawing interpretation.
