Production Operative – Temporary Summer Role

About the role
We are looking for a Production Operative to join a ventilating equipment manufacturer in Whitstable for a three‑month summer assignment. You will work on the shop floor assembling metal components and building complete units in a fast‑paced factory environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assemble dampers, outer casings and blades from supplied parts.
- Operate machinery and hand tools such as drills, hammers and riveters.
- Measure components to ensure they meet engineering specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
Required profile
- Previous experience in a factory, production or manufacturing setting.
- Reliable, punctual and able to work the full Monday‑Friday shift (08:00‑16:10, 39 hours per week).
- Willingness to develop personal and team performance.
Required skills
- Use of hand tools – drills, hammers, riveters.
- Basic measuring techniques.
- Ability to read simple engineering drawings.
