Production Operative – Timber Manufacturing

About the role

This full‑time Production Operative position supports a leading timber manufacturer serving European markets. You will work on a day or late shift, operating machinery and hand tools to produce high‑quality timber doors and related products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Assemble, finish and inspect timber doors to meet quality standards.
• Follow work instructions, production schedules and operating procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
• Support the team in achieving daily production targets.
• Report quality concerns, maintenance issues and improvement ideas.
• Assist other departments and take part in additional production projects as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience using hand tools in a manufacturing environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling duties.
• Good written and spoken English with strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, organised and proactive approach to work.
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Hand‑tool operation.
• Operating CNC machinery or other production equipment.
• Interpreting measurements and technical diagrams.
