Production Operatives

About the role

Join a well‑established manufacturing firm in Shildon as a Production Operative. You will work on a day shift from 08:00 to 16:00, helping to keep the production line running smoothly and meeting daily targets.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate a range of production machinery.
• Perform tool changes and adjustments to meet production requirements.
• Take samples, feed machines/lines and check product quality at various stages.
• Complete required paperwork and ensure each production stage is documented.
• Carry out routine maintenance, fix minor issues or report faults to the appropriate personnel.
• Perform general labour and housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.

Required profile

• Experience in a fast‑paced production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong focus on quality and ability to meet strict daily targets.
• Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit for handling heavy products.

Required skills

• Operation of production machinery.
• Basic machine maintenance.
