Production Operator – GMP Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking Production Operators to join our GMP‑compliant manufacturing team in South Edinburgh, producing high‑quality diagnostic products. The role involves following strict procedures to ensure safety, accuracy and compliance while receiving full training and opportunities for progression.

Key responsibilities

• Follow manufacturing procedures and quality standards to produce products safely and accurately.
• Complete production records and paperwork correctly.
• Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare materials and products for production runs.
• Carry out filling, labelling, packing and other manufacturing activities.
• Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
• Check stock levels and ensure materials are available when needed.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements, including wearing required PPE.
• Collaborate with colleagues and team leaders to meet production targets.
• Support continuous improvement of processes and ways of working.

Required profile

• Reliable, organised and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable following instructions and set procedures.
• Team‑oriented with good communication skills.
• Confident using basic IT systems.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing or production environment.

Required skills

• Experience in a manufacturing, production, laboratory or regulated environment.
• Ability to complete accurate paperwork and records.
• Basic IT systems proficiency.
• Production equipment operation.
