About the role
We are looking for an experienced, forward‑thinking multi‑skilled Production/Machine Operator to work on a rotating double day shift in our packing hall in Rainham. The role involves setting up and running machines at maximum efficiency while safely operating a forklift.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and run production machines to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Operate a forklift truck safely and efficiently.
- Control packaging waste and maintain cleanliness of machinery.
- Complete all product‑related paperwork to company specifications.
- Assist engineers with major breakdowns and perform minor line repairs.
- Carry out general housekeeping duties on the production floor.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor product quality throughout the shift.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Forward‑thinking attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
Required skills
- Forklift operation.
- Machine setup and operation.
