Production Operator

About the role

We are looking for motivated Production Operators to join a fast‑growing food packaging business in Hastings. The role starts on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate, offering a clear development pathway and potential pay rise.

Key responsibilities

• Run and maintain packaging machinery safely and hygienically across kitchen and packaging areas.
• Support the Departmental Manager in meeting production orders and completing required records.
• Fill, seal, label and pack a variety of cold and hot food products according to company standards.
• Perform routine cleaning of machinery and work areas, maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Identify and resolve minor mechanical issues, reporting larger maintenance needs.
• Carry out product checks to ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues and assist other production areas as needed.

Required profile

• Ability to work on a production line in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to health, safety and food‑quality standards.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow documented procedures.
