Production Operator – Temporary

About the role

The Production Operator will work on the manufacturing floor, operating equipment and supporting the production process to ensure safe, efficient and quality‑controlled output. This is a temporary, full‑time position based in Hertford, supporting the Cpl Life Sciences production team.

Key responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and machinery safely in line with approved procedures.
• Set up production equipment and verify correct operation before use.
• Clean, dismantle and re‑assemble equipment and work areas to maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards.
• Carry out routine checks, inspections and product sampling during production.
• Complete production records and batch documentation accurately.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), health and safety requirements, and company procedures at all times.
• Record production information and report any issues, faults or deviations to the appropriate team member.
• Perform routine cleaning of production areas, including equipment, sinks and drains.
• Support manual packaging activities when required.
• Assist with quality investigations and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Packaging, Warehouse, Engineering and Quality colleagues to support daily operations.
• Provide assistance to Engineering and maintenance activities as needed.
