Production Planner

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and detail‑oriented Production Planner to coordinate and optimise manufacturing schedules, ensuring smooth production flow and on‑time delivery. The role covers day‑to‑day planning activities, stock allocation and compliance with health & safety rules, while building strong relationships with marketing and supply partners.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and logistics to secure material availability.
• Monitor daily production progress and adjust schedules to mitigate delays.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory movements and order status in ERP systems.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain partners to optimise inventory levels and reduce lead times.
• Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Prepare detailed reports on production performance, capacity utilisation and scheduling accuracy for management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar production planning role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain processes, including procurement, inventory management and logistics.
• Excellent organisational ability and capacity to prioritise tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
• Good written and verbal English proficiency.
• Right‑to‑work documentation for the UK.
• Flexible approach to working hours and ability to handle competing demands.

Required skills

• Experience using ERP platforms for production planning and inventory control.
