Production & Quality Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production & Quality Manager to lead our Glasgow manufacturing site. The role combines responsibility for day‑to‑day production operations with oversight of ISO 9001 quality systems. You will drive efficiency, meet output targets and ensure products meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the production facility, ensuring efficiency, quality and continuous improvement.
• Liaise with stores coordinator, supervisors and administration to ensure smooth production flow and resolve issues.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
• Develop, monitor and report on efficiency and performance metrics.
• Maintain rigorous quality control protocols in line with ISO 9001 certification.
• Conduct internal ISO 9001 audits with support from external consultant and management.
• Manage production and warehouse staff, providing leadership and hands‑on support.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide flexible cover for other operational remits as required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a dual production and quality role.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting production targets and driving continuous improvement.
• Good understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and audit processes.
• Hands‑on approach with the ability to work on the shop floor.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £40,000‑£45,000 per annum.
• Full‑time permanent contract.
• Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm schedule.
