Production Scheduler – Manufacturing Planning

About the role

The Production Scheduler will coordinate and control production planning to ensure on‑time customer deliveries. Working on‑site in Ashford, you will balance capacity, labour and material availability while maintaining the master production plan.

Key responsibilities

• Build, maintain and update the master production plan to support on‑time deliveries.
• Convert confirmed demand into workable schedules, considering capacity, labour and material constraints.
• Issue and distribute work orders across manufacturing areas and track jobs through to dispatch readiness.
• Review machine and labour capacity, flag resourcing gaps and propose solutions to bottlenecks.
• Partner with Procurement to ensure materials are available before production start dates.
• Prepare weekly dispatch plans aligned with customer due dates and manage export orders.
• Attend daily production meetings, provide status updates and communicate schedule changes to stakeholders.
• Produce planning paperwork, measure schedule adherence and report variances.

Required profile

• Must have own transport for commuting to the Ashford site.
• Full‑time permanent availability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt schedules to urgent requirements.
