Production Shift Manager – FMCG

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Production Shift Manager to lead a high‑performing shift at our Ellesmere Port site. You will work a 4‑on‑4‑off pattern (two days and two nights) and be responsible for safety, quality, cost‑effectiveness and team morale.

Key responsibilities

• Manage staffing levels, complete crewing sheets and ensure appropriate shift coverage.
• Drive performance through daily and hourly KPI monitoring and communication.
• Develop and coach a team of 20+ using our performance‑management framework.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, UK health & safety, environmental and quality standards.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives and roll‑out of CI projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading and developing teams of 20+ in an FMCG or converting environment.
• Hands‑on application of lean manufacturing techniques.
• Experience implementing or supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Forward‑thinking, collaborative approach to day‑to‑day production.
• Lean Six Sigma qualification (desirable) and NEBOSH/IOSH certification (desirable).
