Production Supervisor – Food Manufacturing (Somerset)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the launch of a new food manufacturing facility in Somerset. The successful candidate will build the operation from the ground up, driving large‑scale production of sauces and condiments while ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, set up and scale a new food manufacturing line.
• Oversee day‑to‑day production activities and meet output targets.
• Recruit, train and manage a production team.
• Implement manufacturing processes and continuous‑improvement programmes.
• Manage inventory, procurement and supply‑chain flows.
• Ensure compliance with food‑safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive productivity, reduce waste and improve overall efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in food manufacturing, preferably sauces, condiments or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, production planning and supply‑chain management.
