Production Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking three experienced Production Supervisors to join a busy food manufacturing site in Banbury. The role involves leading a shift team to meet daily output targets while maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and product quality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities, ensuring plans are delivered safely and on schedule.
• Monitor performance metrics such as output, waste, downtime and labour efficiency.
• Set up and verify production lines to operate to specification.
• Work closely with engineering, hygiene and technical teams to resolve operational issues.
• Manage shift handovers and communicate priorities clearly.
• Promote a strong health‑and‑safety culture, enforce PPE use and report hazards.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP and site food‑safety procedures.
• Support internal and external audits and maintain accurate production records.
• Lead, motivate and develop production team members, managing attendance and performance.
• Identify and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce waste.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a similar production environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast‑paced setting.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
