Production Team Leader

About the role

Our client, a growing manufacturing business in Harlow, is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader. This hands‑on leadership position reports to the Warehouse & Production Manager and combines team supervision with active involvement in production, assembly and machine operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise a small production and assembly team to meet daily output targets.
• Organise workloads, prioritize tasks and ensure production schedules and customer deadlines are achieved.
• Perform hands‑on duties including machine operation, detailed assembly, gluing and fitting of components.
• Monitor quality, efficiency and output, taking corrective action when required.
• Train, mentor and support new and existing team members.
• Maintain Health & Safety standards and promote a safe working environment.
• Assist with machine set‑up, basic maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Support warehouse operations and keep the production area clean and organised.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a production or assembly environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Ability to lead by example and work alongside the team on the shop floor.
• Strong organisational skills with a focus on meeting targets and deadlines.
• Commitment to health and safety procedures.

What we offer

• Competitive salary £35,000‑£38,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm onsite role.
