Production Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join Cleone Foods in Birmingham. In this hands‑on role you will oversee daily production and packing activities, ensure safety and quality standards are met, and drive performance across your shift.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and support a team of Production Operatives across multiple shifts.
• Allocate resources, delegate work and manage staffing levels to meet production targets.
• Monitor productivity, quality, food safety and health & safety performance.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure accurate documentation.
• Manage employee attendance, return‑to‑work processes and day‑to‑day people matters.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain cleaning, hygiene, PPE and housekeeping standards.
• Deliver effective shift handovers and communicate operational updates to supervisors and managers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Team Leader, Line Leader, Supervisor or similar in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication and people‑management abilities.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when required.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
