Production Trainer – Food Manufacturing

About the role

Valeo Foods UK is looking for a confident, hands‑on Production Trainer to join the Heanor site that produces Christmas puddings. The role blends structured training delivery with skilled production support, ensuring colleagues are competent, safe and able to meet seasonal demand.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver practical production training across all shifts and provide site orientation for new starters.
• Create and manage onboarding training plans, maintain the training matrix and audit‑ready records.
• Act as subject‑matter expert, update process knowledge and develop SOPs, risk assessments and training materials.
• Support peak recruitment and promptly raise any training or production issues.
• When not training, work as a Skilled Operative – tray loading, weighing, pot feeding, hopper filling, operating production lines, conducting temperature checks and supporting cleaning, changeovers and allergen control.

Required profile

• Food Safety Level 2 certification.
• Health & Safety Level 2 certification.
• Train‑the‑Trainer qualification (desirable).
• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Strong communication and coaching ability, flexible and reliable.
