Production/Assembly Operative

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Production/Assembly Operative to join our friendly, traditional engineering company in Slough. You will work on the production line, carrying out assembly and manufacturing tasks while maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assembly and production work in a manufacturing environment.
• Use hand tools and basic technical equipment to build components.
• Follow shift patterns: 7:25 am‑4:30 pm Monday‑Thursday and 7:25 am‑12:00 pm Friday.
• Take advantage of paid overtime when required.
• Maintain hand‑eye coordination and adhere to safety and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in assembly or production within a manufacturing setting.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Ability to read engineering drawings (advantage).
• Enthusiastic, flexible and committed to delivering responsive service.
• Live within easy travelling distance of Slough.

Required skills

• Use of tools.
• Reading engineering drawings.
