Professional Discipline & Healthcare Litigation Solicitor

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking a qualified solicitor to join its Edinburgh litigation team, focusing on professional discipline, regulatory investigations and clinical defence work. This position offers the chance to develop expertise in a specialised, high‑impact area of law while handling complex, sensitive matters for regulated professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and represent regulated professionals in disciplinary and regulatory investigations.
• Handle clinical defence and complex litigation matters, including court proceedings and public inquiries.
• Prepare cases by drafting pleadings, witness statements and legal submissions.
• Instruct counsel and expert witnesses as required.
• Advocate at procedural and substantive hearings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.

Required profile

• Scottish‑qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years post‑qualification experience.
• Solid litigation background; experience in professional discipline, regulatory, clinical negligence or professional indemnity litigation is advantageous.
• Proven ability to manage a varied caseload and work collaboratively.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
