Professional Support Lawyer – Corporate

About the role

Our client, an award‑winning regional law firm, is seeking an experienced Corporate solicitor to join its Corporate department as a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL). This role focuses on technical excellence, knowledge management and the development of best practice across the team while remaining closely connected to high‑value corporate work.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, maintain and update precedents, templates and guidance materials for corporate transactions.
• Provide technical support to partners and lawyers on complex corporate matters.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and disseminate updates to the team.
• Design and deliver training programmes for lawyers and junior staff.
• Contribute to thought‑leadership pieces, business development initiatives and client‑facing projects.
• Support innovation projects, process improvement and legal‑technology adoption within the department.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with solid experience in Corporate law, preferably from a regional, national or City firm.
• Strong drafting and research abilities and the capacity to explain complex legal issues clearly.
• Highly organised, commercially aware and proactive.
• Passionate about supporting the professional development of colleagues.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of corporate transactions and related legislation.
• Advanced drafting skills for legal documents and templates.
• Ability to conduct thorough legal research and monitor regulatory changes.
