Professional Support Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Corporate Lawyer to transition into a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) position. The role sits within a leading corporate team and focuses on knowledge management, legal innovation and the development of best‑practice resources while staying closely involved in complex corporate and M&A work.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain corporate precedents, templates and technical guidance.
• Provide research and technical support on complex corporate and transactional matters.
• Act as a point of contact for legal and regulatory developments.
• Design and deliver training programmes for lawyers at all levels.
• Create practical know‑how resources and promote best practice across the team.
• Support client‑facing content, legal updates and business development initiatives.
• Drive legal technology adoption and lead process‑improvement projects.
• Encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across corporate and specialist teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience in corporate law.
• Background as a PSL/knowledge lawyer or a corporate fee‑earner seeking a transition.
• Strong experience advising on mid‑market M&A transactions throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Excellent drafting, technical research and communication abilities.
• Experience delivering training or mentoring junior lawyers.
• Commercially minded, organised and detail‑oriented.
• Enthusiastic about innovation, legal technology and continuous improvement.
