Professional Support Lawyer – Private Wealth & Inheritance

About the role

The Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) will join a leading law firm’s Private Wealth & Inheritance team in Farnborough. This strategic, non‑fee‑earning role focuses on knowledge management, technical excellence, training and innovation across private client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain precedents, templates and technical guidance for private client work.
• Provide research and technical support on complex wills, trusts, estate planning and contentious probate matters.
• Act as a trusted adviser on probate, trusts and Court of Protection issues.
• Monitor legal, tax and probate developments and circulate key updates.
• Design and deliver training programmes for lawyers and trainees.
• Support trainee development and learning initiatives.
• Contribute to client seminars, legal updates and thought‑leadership content.
• Drive process improvements and promote effective use of legal technology.
• Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing across practice areas.

Required profile

• 6+ years post‑qualification experience in Private Client law.
• Current or previous experience as a PSL/knowledge lawyer, or a fee‑earner seeking to transition.
• Strong commercial awareness and a collaborative mindset.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
