About the role
The School of Coding & AI is seeking an experienced academic to take ownership of the MSc Computer Science (Business Computing) programme. You will ensure the programme is academically rigorous, well‑organised and delivers high‑quality learning outcomes for students preparing for modern business environments.
Key responsibilities
- Lead day‑to‑day academic delivery and management of the MSc Business Computing programme.
- Teach and assess modules within your area of expertise.
- Coordinate lecturers, module leaders and dissertation supervisors to ensure consistent delivery.
- Maintain the programme timetable, teaching resources, assessment schedule and academic calendar.
- Keep curriculum content current with developments in enterprise technology, data analytics and digital transformation.
- Monitor student attendance, engagement, attainment and progression, introducing interventions when needed.
- Oversee programme‑level assessment, moderation, marking standardisation and academic integrity processes.
- Supervise postgraduate dissertations and applied research projects, ensuring academic quality.
- Support students with complex academic matters, including progression concerns and dissertation planning.
- Use feedback, evaluation data and performance metrics to develop a continuous improvement plan.
- Prepare reports and evidence for academic boards and university partners.
Required profile
- Proven experience in higher‑education teaching and programme leadership.
- Strong knowledge of business computing, enterprise systems and data analytics.
- Ability to manage curriculum development, quality assurance and student support.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
