About the role
Join our team as the Programme Lead/Lecturer in Social Work, responsible for leading and managing the BSc (Hons) Social Work programme in partnership with the University of Gloucester, University of West England and the Office for Students. The role combines academic leadership, teaching, assessment and placement coordination.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the sourcing and delivery of placements and skills days for all learners on the degree programme.
- Develop and maintain high‑quality relationships with local authorities and third‑sector partners.
- Coordinate and deliver specified lessons and modules, preparing and marking assignments, exams and assessments.
- Act as personal tutor for an allocated group of learners, conducting visits and reviews on practice placements.
- Collaborate with link tutors at partner universities to meet teaching, learning, assessment and documentation standards.
- Participate in quality assurance to ensure compliance with partnership university requirements.
Required profile
- Qualified and experienced social worker.
- Ability to lead and manage academic programmes in line with university and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity and safeguarding within the educational environment.
