Programme Manager / Community Development Manager

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position supports Black and Racially Minoritised VCSE organisations across the South West. Working from a hybrid base in Bristol, you will help strengthen capacity, sustainability and influence while embedding racial justice principles throughout the programme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver fundraising and capacity‑building support to VCSE organisations.
• Provide day‑to‑day assistance to Community Organisers, Fundraising Leads and Development Workers across the region.
• Assess organisational needs and develop strategic plans covering theory of change, governance, growth and sustainability.
• Host networking events, peer‑learning circles and knowledge‑sharing sessions for community partners.
• Build relationships with local authorities, NHS, Public Health, police and other stakeholders to ensure services meet community needs.
• Draft fundraising applications and engage with funders to unlock resources.
• Maintain CRM and reporting systems to capture progress, impact and learning.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to racial justice and experience working with VCSE sector and Black or Racially Minoritised communities.
• Proven ability to deliver organisational development, fundraising and stakeholder‑engagement support.
• Strong communication and networking skills for building cross‑sector partnerships.
• Experience managing programmes or projects across multiple locations.

Required skills

• £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
