Programme Purchaser – Aerospace Manufacturing

About the role

Safran Seats is seeking a Programme Purchaser to ensure material readiness for key programme milestones at its Cwmbran site. You will be responsible for sourcing, ordering and delivering the right parts on time to support development, testing and certification phases.

Key responsibilities

• Track and report all purchased material needs across development, testing, PDR and CDR stages.
• Run RFP/RFQ activities, evaluate suppliers and manage the selection process.
• Issue purchase orders and monitor supplier performance to meet schedule requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing health reports and monitor costs against budget targets.
• Resolve material issues promptly to keep programmes on track.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and programme teams to translate requirements into purchasing actions.

Required profile

• Experience in procurement for complex engineering or aerospace projects.
• Strong analytical ability to track material needs and costs.
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
