Project Accountant

About the role

A commercially‑minded qualified accountant is needed to join a fast‑growing business in Exeter as a Project Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support multiple commercial projects and help shape financial strategy through modelling and budgeting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate several multi‑stakeholder commercial projects.
• Prepare and maintain commercial financial models and project budgets.
• Generate, manipulate and analyse financial models for decision‑making.
• Assist in tender document preparation and evaluate tender submissions.
• Draft business cases and conduct financial structuring and soft‑market testing.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Undertake ad‑hoc project work as required.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Strong technical knowledge of financial analysis, corporate finance or financial modelling.
• Proven ability to deliver accurate financial and management reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex information to non‑finance staff.
• Self‑starter with high energy and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

• PowerPoint or similar presentation software.
