Project Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Project Assistant to join the busy Projects team of a rapidly expanding engineering company in Leeds. This full‑time position offers a clear pathway from support work to a Junior Project Manager role, backed by structured training and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with planning, coordination and documentation of engineering projects.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth information flow.
• Prepare and maintain accurate project records, schedules and reports.
• Monitor project progress, update timelines and help keep projects on budget.
• Assist with quotations, purchase orders and general project administration.
• Deliver excellent customer service throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Previous experience in administration, coordination, customer service or project support is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Confident communicator able to build relationships across teams.
• Proactive, motivated and eager to develop a career in project management.
• Strong IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office.

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
