About the role
We are looking for a Project Controller to join our client’s team on a permanent basis. The role involves monitoring project performance, managing variations, and overseeing financial control for projects exceeding £20,000.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and track all projects over £20,000 to identify those not meeting profit expectations.
- Proactively manage the variation procedure, ensuring orders are tracked and processed within customer timeframes.
- Administer the engineer timesheet process on a monthly basis.
- Set up and maintain project correspondence logs and files.
- Assist in preparing project reports and board papers.
- Attend internal and subcontractor meetings to gather information for project control data.
- Ensure control mechanisms are established for sub‑projects.
- Create and maintain cost forecasts, comparing actual and forecast costs.
- Maintain project turnover forecasts and support regular customer invoicing.
- Monitor invoice payments and highlight overdue invoices for resolution.
- Perform any other tasks as required.
