Project Controls Manager

About the role

The Project Controls Manager will report to the Senior Project Controls Manager and support the Head of Project Controls in establishing and maintaining the project baseline for a major transport construction programme. You will analyse performance against the baseline, highlight trends and risks, and ensure robust change management across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an integrated baseline covering scope, schedule, cost, risk and quality.
• Track and report performance against the baseline for projects and contracts.
• Analyse data to provide insights, trends and risk assessments for decision‑making.
• Coordinate schedule, cost, quality and risk management to drive programme delivery.
• Lead change‑management processes and ensure compliance with reporting cycles.
• Ensure data assurance and adherence to PMO and Project Controls policies.
• Manage, lead and motivate a team of Assistant Project Control Managers.

Required profile

• Significant experience in project controls on large civil/transport programmes.
• Proven ability to manage project controls teams.
• Strong knowledge of schedule, cost, change and risk management disciplines.
• Experience with NEC3 contracts and commercial management.
• Background in civil, transport, main works, aviation, nuclear or engineering projects.
