Project Coordinator – Freight Forwarding

About the role

We are seeking a Project Coordinator with multimodal freight forwarding expertise to join our client near Heathrow. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality import and export customer service while ensuring operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multimodal transport operations (road, sea, air, warehousing, out‑of‑gauge cargo).
• Handle order acceptance, planning, scheduling and provide ad‑hoc quotations.
• Coordinate urgent deliveries, customs clearance, and timely cargo release.
• Book direct and back‑to‑back shipments, arrange pick‑ups and oversee booking processes.
• Respond to customer inquiries, issue arrival notifications and provide track‑and‑trace updates.
• Control operational job costing, generate reports and manage irregularities.
• Maintain temporary import/export files and ensure compliance with customs subcontractors.
• Support sales with forwarding and logistics expertise and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in freight forwarding or multimodal logistics.
• Strong knowledge of air, sea and road transport, customs procedures and supply‑chain management.
• Experience in project environments within oil & gas, mining or energy sectors is preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer‑focused attitude and fluency in English.
• Relevant educational background and preferably international work exposure.

• Competitive salary £38‑50k per year, dependent on experience.
• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday schedule (9:00‑17:30).
