Project Coordinator

About the role

Our client, a specialist manufacturing company in Stanley, is seeking an Engineering Project Coordinator to support the planning and delivery of installation, CapEx and utility projects across the site. Working closely with the Engineering Manager, the role offers a pathway towards full project‑management responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of CapEx and engineering installation projects from concept through commissioning.
• Develop project plans, timelines and track progress against milestones.
• Coordinate internal teams and external contractors, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with installation and modification of pipework, valves, pumps and fluid transfer systems.
• Support layout and routing of utilities such as air, water and process/product transfer.
• Work alongside engineers and contractors during testing and commissioning.
• Coordinate contractor activities on site, ensuring compliance with permit‑to‑work, risk assessments and method statements.
• Assist procurement and ensure required materials and components are available.
• Use the CMMS to log, track and manage engineering work and capture data for reliability improvements.

Required profile

• Engineering background (Mechanical or similar discipline).
• Experience in an industrial, construction, utilities or process‑based environment.
• Familiarity with pipework, fluid systems or utilities infrastructure.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Effective communication skills for working across teams and with contractors.
