Project Engineer – 30-Month Fixed Term Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support a major capital project that introduces a new production line within our regulated medical device manufacturing environment. The role sits in the Site Services Department and will be responsible for the technical delivery of equipment and systems from specification through to validation.

Key responsibilities

• Specify, install, commission and validate production line equipment in line with regulatory and quality standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers, engineering, quality and operations teams to ensure project timelines are met.
• Manage site visits, Factory Acceptance Testing and occasional overseas travel for equipment hand‑over.
• Maintain documentation and compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Support cross‑functional communication and problem‑solving throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Experience in engineering roles supporting capital equipment or production line projects.
• Background in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device or pharmaceutical preferred).
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with validation processes and project management methodologies.
• Basic 2D CAD capability.
