Project Manager (Banking) – 6 month contract

About the role

This 6‑month contract role supports a banking client in the North West of England. Working on a defined project, you will be responsible for delivering outcomes on time, within scope and on budget while operating inside IR35.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for a single, clearly defined initiative.
• Produce executive‑level progress reports and ensure transparent communication with senior stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies.
• Facilitate change‑management activities, including training and communication, to embed new solutions.
• Mentor and coach project team members across complex, multi‑regional initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven ability to work independently at senior level and influence decision‑making.
• Strong visual communication skills, especially advanced PowerPoint presentation ability.
• Experience delivering large, business‑critical projects across multiple functions and regions.
• Seasoned project manager with a tactical focus on day‑to‑day delivery.

Required skills

• PMP certification
• Prince2 Practitioner certification
• Enterprise‑scale Agile methodology
• Microsoft PowerPoint (advanced visual communication)
