Project Manager - Business Improvement/Transformation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a portfolio of business improvement and digital transformation projects. The role will be based in Newcastle Upon Tyne and operates on a hybrid basis for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end business improvement, service redesign and transformation projects within scope, timescale and budget.
• Realise forecasted benefits and measure project performance.
• Engage and manage stakeholders at all levels, including executives and project sponsors.
• Develop business cases, project plans and manage matrixed internal and external resources.
• Oversee third‑party supplier relationships, vendor selection and contract management.
• Produce progress reports, conduct reviews and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Coach and collaborate with peers to foster a high‑performing delivery environment.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience delivering end‑to‑end business improvement or transformation projects.
• Strong ability to measure project output, benefits and manage risks.
• Experience leading, motivating and coaching staff in a matrix environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Delivery‑focused mindset with enthusiasm for driving change.
