Project Manager – Civil Engineering (South West)

About the role

We are looking for a driven Project Manager to lead civil and utilities projects across the South West. You will own the delivery of water infrastructure schemes from East Cornwall to Bristol and support additional civils work for key clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safe, efficient delivery of multiple civils/utilities sites.
• Manage project programmes to meet key milestones.
• Partner with the commercial team on budgets and financial forecasting.
• Provide technical input and site visits for the pre‑construction team.
• Coordinate with Highways, public authorities and statutory bodies.
• Build client relationships and report progress to senior stakeholders.
• Promote a robust H&S culture, ensuring compliance with PUWER, LOLER, RAMS, temporary works and CDM documentation.
• Maintain accurate, audit‑ready site records.

Required profile

• Proven project management experience in wastewater/clean water infrastructure, utilities or construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering standards and regulations.
• Experience working with NEC4 contracts.
• Ability to juggle multiple sites and teams.
• Confident client‑facing communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications such as a construction degree, NVQ/HNC, CSCS Gold/Black, SMSTS, NRSWA, TWS, EUSR or NPORS.
