Project Manager – Decarbonisation & Plant Replacement

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a major decarbonisation and central plant replacement programme in Central London. The role involves overseeing the project from planning through to commissioning within a live commercial building.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall programme and day‑to‑day delivery of the plant replacement project.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and design teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Plan and supervise shutdowns, plant change‑overs and commissioning activities.
• Monitor health & safety, quality standards and progress against schedule.
• Liaise with the client, consultants and on‑site teams, supporting handover and commercial activities.

Required profile

• Background in Building Services, preferably mechanical.
• Proven experience delivering plant replacement, energy or decarbonisation projects in live commercial environments.
• Strong planning, coordination and communication abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as SMSTS, IOSH or CSCS Management Card.

Required skills

• Air‑source and water‑source heat pump systems.
• Boiler and chiller replacement.
• Heating and chilled water pipework installation.
• Pumps, building management system (BMS) and associated plant control.

What we offer

• Salary £70,000–£80,000 per year.
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
• Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am‑5:00 pm schedule with overtime available.
• Start date mid‑August.
