Project Manager – Engineering (Automation)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead engineering projects within our automation division. You will own the full project lifecycle, from planning and resource allocation to delivery, ensuring technical compliance and high quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project timelines, tasks and resources across multiple concurrent projects.
• Control financial aspects and budgets of each project.
• Lead client meetings, project review sessions and ensure deliverables meet expectations.
• Coordinate with the Project Management Office and engineering teams to maintain governance.
• Motivate and direct a team of engineers to achieve project goals.

Required profile

• Background in engineering, preferably with control‑system or automation experience.
• Proven experience in technical project management, handling several projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and commercial awareness, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Clean UK driving licence; occasional site travel may be required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, HMI, variable speed drives and instrumentation products.
• Proficiency with MS Project for planning.
• Advanced use of MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint).
