Project Manager – Fire Detection & Protection

About the role

Huntress is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead fire detection and protection projects across commercial sites in London. You will own the delivery from contract award to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with British Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of fire detection & protection projects, from pre‑start to handover.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Lead launch meetings with clients, consultants and internal teams.
• Review technical drawings, system designs and installation specifications.
• Coordinate procurement of materials, specialist subcontractors and labour.
• Monitor progress, milestones, resource allocation and cost variations.
• Administer subcontractor packages and oversee contract performance.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, compliance and health & safety.
• Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing fire detection & protection installations in commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of BS5839 and current fire industry regulations.
• FIA qualification or equivalent fire industry certification.
• Commercial awareness with experience handling budgets, variations and payments.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and installation teams.
