About the role
Join Siemens Energy as a Project Manager in the Grid Technologies Substations division, driving the delivery of key substation projects across the United Kingdom. You will lead end‑to‑end project planning, execution, and closure while ensuring alignment with strategic growth objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, defining scope, schedule, and resource requirements.
- Organise and lead cross‑functional project teams, assigning responsibilities and monitoring progress.
- Track and report project performance, including costs, timelines, and staffing against the plan.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project closure activities, including final documentation, lessons learned, and stakeholder handover.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of project management experience, preferably in energy, utilities, or heavy engineering.
- Professional certifications such as PMP and PRINCE2 Practitioner.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with significant budgets and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong financial oversight, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
