Project Manager

About the role

As a Project Manager you will be accountable for the operational and financial performance of a construction contract, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to client expectations. You will lead site resources, subcontractors and support teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations while maximising profitability.
• Manage site resources, subcontractors and support staff, assigning roles and responsibilities.
• Liaise with senior management on performance reporting and client authorisation requirements.
• Control documentation in partnership with back‑office support.
• Assess health and safety competence of subcontractors and direct labour before work begins.
• Prepare site‑specific method statements and risk assessments.
• Monitor commercial aspects of the contract to maintain profitability.
• Motivate and develop the project team, delegating tasks and leading by example.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC or HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Construction.
• Knowledge of resource management, cost planning and programme management techniques.
• Health & safety qualifications such as IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent.
• Familiarity with NRSWA, Temporary Works Regulations and TWC.
• Strong financial awareness and understanding of CDM 2015, H&S at Work Act 1974 and NEC 4 contract conditions.
• Experience with construction practices including pipelaying, tunnelling, MEICA installation, reinforced concrete and flow diversions.
• Clean driving licence.
