Project Manager (PMO) – Hybrid – Bristol

About the role

FDM Group, a global business and technology consultancy, is seeking a Project Manager to support a major financial services client. This is a six‑month contract role based in Bristol, working in a hybrid model. You will assist the Delivery Lead in keeping projects on schedule and ensuring high‑quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Delivery Lead, tracking milestones, actions and requirements.
• Monitor project progress, flag issues early and propose solutions.
• Coordinate with Business Analysts and SMEs to manage business readiness and UAT testing.
• Act as a liaison between project teams, stakeholders and clients, delivering regular updates via Teams and email.
• Maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting notes, RAID logs and project plans.
• Organise project meetings, prepare agendas and record minutes.
• Identify risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
• Oversee delivery tracking tools and produce MI reports, including burn‑down charts.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in a PMO or similar project delivery role.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
• Experience in a global or multi‑regional organisation.
• Broad understanding of HR functions and technology delivery (desirable).
• Degree‑educated or equivalent professional experience.
