Project Manager – Public Sector Infrastructure

About the role

BWB Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead public‑sector infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery while complying with relevant legislation and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver projects safely, on schedule and within budget, following the full project life‑cycle and company standards.
• Provide high‑quality project management services, including monitoring, reporting and stakeholder communication.
• Manage changes, risks and contingencies, maintaining detailed cost and program information.
• Organise and conduct project meetings, keep accurate records and attend critical on‑site stages.
• Oversee contract assessments, notifications and compliance with CDM Regulations 2015.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in public‑sector projects.
• Professional qualification such as APM‑PMQ (or higher); NEC Accredited Project Manager (NEC3/NEC4) desirable.
• Experience managing contracts (NEC3/NEC4 ECC/PSC or JCT) and sub‑contractor/consultant relationships.
• Proven experience on large‑scale infrastructure projects with stakeholders like Local Authorities, Highways England, Network Rail, HS2, HS1, National Grid and Tier‑1 contractors.

Required skills

• MS Project for scheduling.
• NEC3 and NEC4 contract administration.
• JCT contract knowledge.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations 2015.
