Project Manager – Regeneration & Development

About the role

Lichfield District Council is investing in the future of its communities through an ambitious programme of regeneration, development and economic growth. We are seeking an enthusiastic Project Manager to lead major town‑centre and regeneration projects that will shape the district for generations.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of a diverse portfolio of regeneration and development projects, including city‑centre placemaking and strategic development initiatives.
• Conduct feasibility studies, prepare business cases and develop funding bids or grant applications.
• Procure consultants and contractors, and manage contracts through design, planning and delivery phases.
• Engage with stakeholders, partners, consultants, contractors and local communities to ensure project alignment and successful outcomes.
• Prepare progress reports for senior officers and elected members.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive professional with experience delivering projects in regeneration, development, construction or property environments.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, budgets and programmes.
• Experience working with public and private sector partners and engaging communities.

Required skills

• Project management methodology and tools.
• Procurement and contractor management processes.
• Preparation of feasibility studies, business cases and funding applications.
