Project Security Consultant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Security Consultant to join our team in Bristol on a six‑month contract. You will lead security governance, assurance and risk management for high‑profile UK programmes, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the security lead for assigned projects, maintaining Security Management Plans and Risk Registers.
• Manage project security risks and ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Support security governance, audits, assurance activities and gate reviews.
• Produce security reports, dashboards and updates for project stakeholders.
• Provide security input to project planning, change control and delivery activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting security governance within project or programme environments.
• Strong background in security risk management and maintaining risk registers.
• Ability to communicate security risks and governance updates to senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of threat intelligence and security incident management.
• Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ or ISACA CRISC.
