Project Specialist – External Manufacturing (Drug Product)

About the role

The External Manufacturing‑Drug Product (EM‑DP) Project Specialist will oversee technology transfer projects with Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs). Reporting to the PQTS+ team, the role acts as the primary liaison between GSK and external suppliers to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery of new drug product manufacturing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall project schedule, safeguarding the critical path and budget.
• Coordinate technology transfer activities from planning through product launch for new suppliers or new molecules.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks that could impact schedule or quality.
• Facilitate communication and escalation with GSK senior leadership and the Supply Director.
• Manage governance, milestone reporting and KPI tracking across internal PQTS+ functions and external partners.
• Support Quality and MSAT teams to align on transfer deliverables.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex projects in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environments.
• Strong ability to build collaborative relationships with external CMO partners.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills for risk identification and mitigation.
• Effective communication skills for multi‑level stakeholder engagement.
