Project Support Manager – Defence Infrastructure

About the role

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) is seeking a Project Support Manager to join the Major Programmes and Projects (MPP) Cyber & Specialist Operations Command (CSOC). In this role you will help deliver complex capital infrastructure projects that support the UK defence estate, ensuring performance, cost and time targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to Project Managers across a portfolio of capital infrastructure programmes.
• Assist in planning, monitoring and reporting on project performance, cost, schedule and risk.
• Coordinate supply‑chain activities to ensure timely delivery of life‑cycle replacement and betterment works.
• Maintain project documentation and facilitate communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Support the implementation of hybrid working arrangements, with at least 60 % of time spent on‑site or in the office.

Required profile

• Eligibility for Developed Vetting – must have lived in the UK for the past ten years.
• UK nationality (reserved position).
• Experience supporting large‑scale infrastructure or construction projects, preferably within a defence or public sector environment.
• Strong organisational and analytical abilities with a focus on delivering results.
