Project Technical Test Lead – Cutover & Integrated Testing

About the role

The Project Technical Test Lead will drive cutover and integrated testing activities for a large-scale technology or ERP transformation programme. Based in London with a hybrid work model (four days onsite), the role sits at the intersection of engineering and project management, ensuring systems are ready for go-live.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall cutover strategy, detailed plan and command-centre procedures.
• Lead cross-functional readiness reviews and coordinate blackout windows, deployment sequencing, data migration and environment transitions.
• Manage cutover rehearsals, dry-runs and go-live simulations, acting as the central point of control during execution.
• Define and execute the integrated testing strategy, covering System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E) and non-functional testing.
• Oversee defect triage, root-cause analysis and ensure test results meet deployment readiness and quality gates.
• Maintain integrated RAID logs across cutover, testing, data and environment workstreams and provide regular status reporting.
• Support the Project Management Office with governance activities and risk tracking.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Test Lead on large technology or ERP transformation projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex cutover and testing schedules.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder updates and issue resolution during go-live.
